Hi, I’m Jamie Sunila–I’m an artist out of the Midwest with a love of all things Folk Lore.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve had an interest in the Medieval, Renaissance and Victorian history, culture, fashion–mixed in with Folk Lore from those time periods, reading everything I could get my hands on. I locked on to the Fae, with sprinkles of Tim Burton macabre, and have since gained a great appreciation for the natural world. It has heavily influenced my art style and creation, from the Midsummer Flower crowns to the Skeleton Cloche art, and everything in between.

I have a passion for attending Renaissance Festivals, a community of which I have been a part of since 2010. In recent years I’ve been attending more oddities festivals and conventions in the US, which I take inspiration from, as well as many A24 productions, Shakespearean plays, and even my own garden.

I feel like I was born to be an artist, and I strive to create truly one of a kind pieces, and it’s been a wild journey to get here. I think more than ever people need art to survive–for a variety of reasons, whether you’re a creator, a supporter, or a purchaser. Whether it’s visual, wearable or physical art, it’s what people were truly put here on the planet for–beauty, creation and love.
